Companion laser therapy is a surgery-free, drug-free, non-invasive treatment to reduce pain, reduce inflammation and speed healing.
How will patients benefit from laser therapy?
Laser therapy has been scientifically proven to be successful in treating post-surgical pain and many acute and chronic conditions. Class IV deep tissue laser therapy uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells called “photo bio-modulation”, which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation, and increased healing speed.
How safe is laser therapy?
The laser light is delivered through a non-invasive handpiece to treat the affected area. Your pet may feel a gentle and soothing warmth.
What happens during my appointment?
Technicians perform a therapeutic laser treatment in accordance with your veterinarian’s recommendation. Clients are more than welcome to stay with their pet during the appointment. We will provide safety glasses for you and your pet to wear during treatment. The length of the laser therapy sessions usually lasts between 10-20 minutes depending on the type of laser therapy needed.
Who does laser therapy?
Our technician staff has undergone a certification process to effectively use the therapeutic laser equipment and conduct treatments on your pet under the supervision of a veterinarian.
